Hawaii Learning Resource will offer a free workshop for K-12 educators titled “Universal Design for Learning: Strategies and Tools to Engage Diverse Learners,” presented by Kavita Rao, Ph.D., from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at Kanu o ka ‘Aina Public Charter School in Waimea.

Hawaii Learning Resource will offer a free workshop for K-12 educators titled “Universal Design for Learning: Strategies and Tools to Engage Diverse Learners,” presented by Kavita Rao, Ph.D., from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at Kanu o ka ‘Aina Public Charter School in Waimea.

Participants will learn about the “Universal Design for Learning” framework and how it can be used to design instruction for all learners.

Rao is an associate professor in the College of Education at the University of Hawaii. She teaches courses on educational and assistive technologies and has been a teacher trainer for more than 15 years.
